Havaianas

HAVAIANAS

In 2008, I ran the launch of Brazilian flip-flop brand, Havaianas, in the US. The huge building murals (complete with massive rubber “thongs”), were up all summer in Greenwich Village, Union Square, and Little Italy. The flip-flop flower beds were constructed of live plants and displayed in the otherwise sterile interior of the mall at Columbus Circle. The flip-flop door mat concept (my favorite), was just a cool way to store and display your Havaianas when you weren’t wearing them. And the web film was our take on what feet probably dream about when they fall asleep.
